Delayed start of audio file

Postby Asanger » 19 Feb 2012 21:45

I am using VLC 2.0.0 with Win XP SP 3.
When starting music from a file by double click its title, VLC starts to play immediatelly. This is a problem for a dancer who first wants to get into dancing position after having started the title. This request sounds simple and I have searched for a possibility to delay the start say for 5 sec or so, but I found no way doing it.

There's no way strictly speaking, though you can insert a dummy item in the playlist before the interesting one, e.g. vlc://pause:5
