Audio delay while transcoding possible?

Postby uibkdigi » 15 Dec 2011 10:10

Hi all,

i have spent a whole lot of time googleing this now, nor have I found a solution anywhere in the video lan docu: is there any way to delay/offset an audio stream when you transcode? I didn't find anything in the GUI, let alone a parameter I could use for the batch file I use to transcode. All I want is to delay the audio of captured raw files a little because it is slightly ahead of the video (constant throughout the whole file). And I know there is the feature to do it while playing, but I would like to fix it permanently, so you don't have to fiddle around with the player everytime you want to watch one of the videos. Any help is welcome.

Sorry to reply to my own post, but doesn't anyone have a clue? If there is no such thing as the feature I would need, I could make another post in the request feature area...

You could try
--audio-desync=<integer>
To offset/ correct. Can be applied + or -
Or
-audio-sync
Inside the transcode string to auto correct.

May not work as expected in Linux depending on version?
