VLC does not play MPEG4/H.264 file

Hi.

I have a MPEG4/H.264 file, which doesn't work in VLC but work in any other player I tried.

The VLC just shows black screen, but the playing slider is running and can be moved. When digging deeper, the are no decoded packets in media information statistics, though there are no error messages as well. In all it seems as VLC can't start decoding the media file.

Any idea why this happens?

VLC doesn't like low FPS video files, for some reason.
You should create a ticket on the VLC Trac with a link to the non working file.
