skin problem

Postby yayosh » 10 Mar 2005 07:09

I could not use the skin, e.g. add a playlist, when I ran VLC compiled from http://download.videolan.org/pub/videol ... edora/fc3/ on Fedora Core 3. The errors were
[00000393] main dialogs provider error: no dialogs provider module matched "any"
[00000392] skins2 interface error: No suitable dialogs provider found
[00000392] skins2 interface: skin: VLC OSX Interface author: BigBen

What do they mean?

That you don't have the wxWindows interface (it is used by the skins one for all the dialog boxes).

I didn't install wxWidgets library, but the skin did pop up. Just no effect when I pressed the buttons on the skin, like "add playlist" button. Why? And I don't want the skin to pop up, how can I do it? Through some configuration?

The skins intf renders it's own window, but for menu's and dialogs it still needs wxwidgets. if that is not installed, dialogs and menu's won't work.
Don't use PMs for support questions.
