Playing audio files in a folder and then stop

Playing audio files in a folder and then stop

Postby ianpps » 19 Oct 2011 21:57

I'm a brand new user and I have searched unsuccessfully for the solution to what I thought was a basic facility. I have all of my many albums listed in Media Library sorted into folders in classical composer order. A folder for a particular classical composer might have six subfolders, one for each of the music albums, each of which has a number of tracks (files). I have discovered how to set preferences to that I can play one track of an album and then the player stops. I don't want that; I want to play all of the tracks of an album in order and for the player to stop after playing the last track of that album. Perhaps I have missed the obvious but any suggestions please?

Never mind, VLC seems to be far too complicated for someone just wanting to listen to a music collection, disk by disk. I'm going back to WMP.
