Streaming problem-- PC to PDA

Postby Sharath » 28 Jun 2005 15:29

Hi,

I want to stream live video (eg., ouput of an openGL spinning cube program) from PC/input to PDA.

For a prequel, I tried streaming an avi file from PC to PDA (wi-fi) . I have the PocketPC2003 version on my Dell Axim x50v ppc and 0.8.2 version of VLC on my PC. I followed the steps as below.

1. On my PC, open file-> selected the file->stream output->udp->entered the ip of my ppc ->ok. I also tried the wizard option.

2. on my ppc, open network stream-> entered the ip of my pc.

But could not view any output. I could not figure out what the problem is.

Is pocketPC2003 the latest version for ppc, and if a newer version is available, where can I find it?

Also the controls do not work while the video is being played locally on the ppc. I have to do a soft reset almost everytime.

Finally how can I stream a live video using VLC or VLS ???
I am using WinXP.
