Does anyone know what is the maximum bit rate of a mpeg-2 video stream vlc player can support, because I'm streaming a 2.5 Mbps video file and there is loss in frames at the client??

i have no problem servering out 15 mbps. but i see problem if the packet size is set to small for the network. or if there are greedy hungry networt call programs, such as music downloading programs ( ie winmx) then I will see dropped frames or even unfuctional network stream. this is on windows xp anyways
