No Gui on VLC 0.8.2 on Solaris

Hi,

I compiled vlc 0.8.2-test2 on a solaris 8 machine, but when I run the compiled program it starts up the "Remote control interface". How do I get it to pop up the VLC client GUI.

I have compiled vlc with wxwindows version wxX11-2.6.1. When vlc compiles, it does go and compile files under the "module/gui/wxwindows" directory.

When I do a "vlc --list", however, I don't see "wx" or "wxwin". There is a libwxwindows_plugin.so created under the PREFIX/lib/vlc/gui directory (where PREFIX is the directory given in the configure command).

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

do you have any errors concerning wx in VLC's configure ?

I'm having the same problem. Was there a resolution for this?
