Video effects: saving or converting

Postby eduardohorta » 16 Mar 2011 17:44

Hello all forum members,

I'm new here so I apologize if this question has already been answered elsewhere; I did search a lot in google though, and couldn't find any definitive/simple answer.

So, straight to the point: I have a video file to which I want to add the cool effects available through the 'effects and filters' (CTRL+E) window. More precisely, I want to hardcode the effects into the video, not to save the filters configurations, so I can later upload the modified video to youtube, for example. I believe this should be a trivial matter, but it doesn't seem to be so easily achieved through the available menus.

Any suggestions here?

Thanks in advance, and best regards.

Eduardo

VLC 1.2.0 should do that better, you can try the nightly builds...

I've downloaded it, but it still looks pretty much the same...

I've tried, but it doesn't seem to be recording nor saving any file... Am I missing something here?

Thanks again.

i have been having the exact same problem. when i press record where is the destination? i cant seem to find it.
And how do i take a file that has video affects on it...save it....and upload it onto you tube. ive spent hours trying to figure it out...which leads me to believe that your media player is not very user friendly. to say the least. althought i do love the video affects and the video play is clean.

Hi out there!

Even if I found the recorded file in My Documents/My Videos it did not show the effect I saw while recording it. Transform 180°. I'm still wondering how to save a modification?

Thx
