Problems with certain DivX & MOV files

Hello to the VLC team,

Your program is great & gives excellent results most of the time.
However I'm facing a problem with certain divX file that just wuoldn't run.
The program (v 6.0.2) plays the first 1-2 seconds of audio and then stops and there is no picture at all - the screen remains black.
With a previous version (v 5.0.2) the picture was ok but there was no sound.
The same file runs flawlessly on DivX player v2.5 & on Microsoft MediaPlayer 9...
The file details:
Video - AVI (DivX MPEG-4 Version 5)
Audio - AVI (MP3 Audio 44 KHz Stereo)
Resolution: 480 x 208

Another problem happens with a Quicqtime movie I that appears jerky (sound & video) on Vlc but runs flawlessly on Quicktime 6.

Do you have any Idea why is this happening and how can I resolve the problem ? Vlc is great and it's a pitty I can't use it far all files due to these problems.

There is no 6.0.2 or 5.0.2 version of VLC...
