Sound jumping

Postby stanislaus21 » 10 Mar 2011 20:02

Help. I realise that this question is answered elsewhere on the sites but only for the most experienced operators to follow. My sound is jumping all the time whenever I try to play a DVD. This has been happening on all my versions of vlc and I have finally decided I want to try and cure it. Is there a simple solution to this. I have tried resetting the preferenses, although I hadn't change any of these. Thanks to everyone in advance.

Hmm. This is symptomatic of an unstable clock. This is a known issue with some hardware especially on Windows. In that case, there is currently no known solution.

Otherwise, you can try to force an audio sample rate better supported by your sound card in the advanced audio preferences.
