Volume over 100%

Postby stoops » 31 Jan 2011 19:14

I've recently updated my PC and have it now hooked up to my amp via an optical cable. I changed a few settings in VLC to get things working and it works great other than two minor problems:

1 - With Xvids when the volume goes over 100% it goes quieter, like it's starting from 0% again.
2 - On MKVs the volume doesn't work at all. I get sound but changing the volume doesn't do anything so I need to use the remote for my amp to change the voume.

Any ideas what I can do to fix it? Output is set to Win32 Waveout and Use S/PDIF when available is selected and force Dolby is set to auto.

Volume can (obviously?) not work if you use S/PDIF pass-through.
