Audioscrobbler Interface proxy problem

Postby da4cu4 » 28 Jan 2011 12:02

Windows 7 (32/64 unknown; no rights), VLC 1.1.4 (not updateable)

I'm behind an http proxy. I added "--http-proxy:" to the VLC startup link.
The firewall lets all port 80 traffic through (or so I've been told).

I'm reading messages at verbosity 2 (shortend):

audioscrobbler debug: Meta data registered
audioscrobbler debug: Song will be submitted

Another try got this:

access_http debug: protocol 'HTTP' answer code 206
access_http debug: Server: Apache-Coyote/1.1
access_http debug: Pragma: no-cache
access_http debug: Content-Type: text/plain
access_http debug: stream size=125,pos=0,remaining=125
access_http debug: this frame size=125
main debug: using access module "access_http"
main debug: TIMER module_need() : 79.000 ms - Total 79.000 ms / 1 intvls (Avg 79.000 ms)
main debug: Using AStream*Stream
main debug: pre buffering
main debug: received first data after 0 ms
main debug: removing module "access_http"
main debug: waitpipe: object killed
audioscrobbler debug: Handshake successfull :)
audioscrobbler debug: Going to submit some data...
main debug: net: connecting to post2.audioscrobbler.com port 80
main error: cannot resolve post2.audioscrobbler.com port 80 : Temporary name service failure

But no scrobble turns up in my last.fm profile. Any ideas where I might hace strayed?

Thanks.

The audioscrobbler plugin ignores HTTP proxy settings. This is a known limitation. Patch is welcome.
