Watching A Video From The Start

Whenever I start a movie video, whether it is in a folder or on a DVD VLC player automatically starts with the movie's menu.

This is OK 99 time out of a 100.

But just occasionally I would like to watch the DVD/movie from the start so that I can see preview clips of other movies.

How can I do this?

(I am assuming that this is not a Windows specific thing).

Many thanks for that, don't know how I missed it.
Is it possible to have the checkbox permanently marked by default. It appears to "uncheck" itself everytime I restart VLC.

Actually that's not what I meant, maybe I should have said watching a disc from the start.

When I check the "no menu" box the movie starts playing immediately.
If I leave it unchecked then I get the feature's menu.

What I would like to do is to start watching the DVD right from the start, yes I want to see all those FBI warnings (I don't really) but what I'd really like to see is the previews for other movies that are shown before the menu comes up.

Is there a setting for that?
