can't use device: VHScrCAP, unsupported device type

Postby vmail » 15 Dec 2010 12:57

Hi, could someone help me figure out what I am doing wrong.

This is the command that I am running.

Code: Select all

vlc.exe --sout-deinterlace-mode=Linear -vvv -I rc dshow:// :dshow-vdev="VHScrCAP" :dshow-caching=1500 :dshow-chroma=UYVY :dshow-fps=25 --sout #standard{access=http{mime="multipart/x-mixed-replace;boundary=7b3cc56e5f51db803f790dad720ed50a",vfilter=deinterlace},mux=mpjpeg,dst=127.0.0.1:8080/video.mjpeg}
This is the feedback.

[00e6872c] main demix error: VLC cannot use the device "VHScrCAP", because its type is not supported.

However if I open up the GUI, click on Media, Open Capture Device... and select VHScrCAP under Video device name it runs ok.

The driver can be downloaded here http://www.brothersoft.com/vh-screen-ca ... 41456.html
