Streaming from laptop to a Sony Blue-ray BDP-s370

Postby sevenTsix » 10 Dec 2010 23:18

Hi folks,
I was wondering if you could help me. I am trying to set up a Media Network for my Sony Blue-ray player (BDP-s370). It is connected to the router via an ethernet cable and my computer is connected to the router via the wireless network. I am brand new to Media Networks and have V 1.1.5 of VLC Media Player on my computer. The tutorials that I have found online to set up media streaming are outdated as they have a different UI to this version so I could make no sense out of them. Basically I would like to be able to stream the contents of a !TB hdd (video, music and pictures) which is attached to my laptop running XP SP3 to the blue-ray player through my WLAN, is it possible using VLC media player? Or am I barking up the wrong tree? If you could help me in any way I would really appreciate it.
