dvd menu overlays always black

dvd menu overlays always black

on my computers (imac and G5 mac os 10.3.2) with vlc 062 and 07 all dvd menus overlays are always black ore grey. is that normal?

I think he mean the highlight that shows the selected button in a dvd menu.

DVD menu button hilights black

Yes I mean the hilight, when a button is selected, or I put the mouse over it. On Apple DVD palyer they are colored in VLC they are black, or transparent grey.

I have the exact same problem. I have been creating DVD's with Adobe Premiere Elements. When VLC goes to play the DVD (Either a burned DVD, or opening the VIDEO_TS folder), the selected item in a DVD menu always shows up in grayscale. If the highlight should be medium green, its medium gray. A bright yellow come out light-gray. A dark color shows up black, or dark gray.

The DVD's play fine with Windows Media Player, or PowerDVD.

Windows XP-SP2, VLC 1.0.5

Just upgraded to VLC 1/1/4, no help.
