Looping from Point A to B

I love VLC player, it does so much more than most paid for players however there seem to be a few questions surrounding this topic already on this board and I'd like to ask another.

I upgraded to the latest version (1.1.4) on my desktop PC and noticed I did not have the "Loop A to B" icon at the bottom of the screen yet the older version I have on my laptop did ? The older version is v 0.9.9 Grishenko but when I downloaded that version from File Hippo and reinstalled it on my desktop PC the "Loop from A to B" icon is no longer there ?

So my question is, Is there another way to get the "Loop from A to B" icon back onto my desktop version of VLC, whichever version that may be ?

and which version of VLC are you taliking about ?

OK Got it. At the main screen click on "Tools" then select "Advanced Controls" from the dropdown menu.
