Hello VLC Forum!
Please help me find a solution to the following problem:
I am running VLC in minimized view with fullscreen video setup and control it via telnet from another PC. When I initiate the necessary commands to start playing a video I see only the video in full screen as I set it up. This is really great, because that is what I would like to achieve. However if I initiate a pause command on the control machine I see the video freezing on the other machine, but there is no indication on the other side if there was a pause or the system just crashed.
What I would like to have is an onscreen feedback of the control status and also a time indication of the played file. So if I initiate a start commannd on the control PC it would be great to see a playback icon on the fullscreen video for some seconds, and a constant pause icon when it is paused. Furthermore I would like to see the actual playback time status of the file (i.e. in a 3 minutes video file 2:30/3:00, or just 2:30).
I appreciate every suggestion.
Thanks,
Gabor
