SDP (Session Description Protocol) file

Postby hans_wurst » 02 Nov 2010 16:01

I was searching in this forum for a “how to create a SDP file” but I found nothing. Does anyone know a tutorial?
With google I found some information which settings I have to include in this file. But I don’t know how I tell VLC to use this file. Do I have to name the extension of the file to *.sdp?

There is an option in the streaming output chain syntax to generate a SDP for the output stream (sdp=file://...).

Thank you for answere. My problem is, I get the stream from network. So it is my input-stream. I do not wont to generate a output stream.

It is a h.264 input stream with no container/wrapper around the h.264-frames. So I have to generate a sdp-file myself and than vlc know which codec is on input. Am I right?
