Problem with Subtitles

Postby psychoboy » 09 Nov 2004 17:03

So I've got a problem with subtitles and vlc 0,8,0 :

When I need to set the correct delay in the subtitles options dialog (for syncing the subtitles), the subtitle doesn't display. I hadn't got this problem with previous versions of vlc.

There is no problem when I don't delay the subtitles.

Thanx for your help.

The problem doesn't occur when I modify the fps settings of the subtitles, just when I delay.
By the way, i'm on mac with X.3,6 OS.

Same problem. Subtitles are delayed by 1-3 seconds. They weren't at first, and now for some reason they are. What is goin' on? OGM files. Trying to reduce the subtitle delay does nothing.

Never mind, it seems to be only with specific files in the series, as if the encoding was a little off. Odd.

subtitles delay

Yes, sometimes the subtitles are delayed during playing DivX movies, all you need to do when it appears incorrect, reopen the movie. Go to Open dialog, check Subtitle Options, and to FPS line, set value 24. Don't use delay array, it won't work, trust me.
