Hi,
F.Y.I. VLC Media Player 1.1.4 has a frame rate bug.
Sample Input -> MPEG2-MP@HL-720-30p-40Mbps
Codec Info -> Frame Rate:60
I also tried couple of streams and did not get the accurate FR.

please try VLC 1.2.0-git from Nightly Build of VLC
