Removing Files from iPad?

Postby uurf » 22 Sep 2010 19:41

I get how to transfer files to the VLC iPad app via iTunes, but for the life of me I can't figure out how to remove them. I've tried:

Tap and Hold items on the shelf.
Expected Behavior: "Jiggle" with the close "X"
Actual Behavior: selected, item then plays.

Swipe Item Left to Right.
EB: Delete button enabled.
AB: selected, item then plays.

I can remove and then re-install the VLC App, but surely there is a less drastic (all or nothing) method for removing watched content.

I was able to figure it out.

Select the "Apps" Tab in iTunes for you ipad.

Scroll to the list of apps that use iTunes for file transfer. VLC is one of them.

Select VLC.
Select the item you'd like to delete from the list on the right.
hit the 'Delete' key.
File will be deleted from the iPad.

But I haven't found way to do it from the iPad itself.

Feature Request: Support Deletion of Media Files from within iPad VLC app.
Tap and Hold items on the shelf.
Expected Behavior: "Jiggle" with the close "X" Tapping "x" deletes file after confirmation.
