Postby The Dude_ » 27 Apr 2005 12:52

VLC is probably the BEST media player i have ever had and for that,i thank the VLC team for thier efforts into this project..........

I have a question i hope ya'all can answer :)

Im running 98se and Version 0.7 (Best version ever i think, especially on 98se)

I cant play the audio for files with QDM2 ... Is there some codec i could DL and put into my VLC folder that will allow the playing of QDM2 audio? Image

Thank you very much.......VLC IS THE BEST.....I recommend it to people everywhere!!!!!

Search the forum for QDM2. You'll find a way how to get this done. Note that you need to have QuickTime installed to run this hack.

Well thank you my friend,

I cant seem to read ANY THREADS on here if i am logged in,i have no idea why....They just will not load...(Its like there is a config error somewhere (I have notified some1 on the staff about it))

What if you just take ALL DLL FILES that QT uses and put them into your VLC folder, then it should work...........

Just wondering.........I heard QT was spyware or something......But just borrowing the DLL's shouldnt be a problem.......

Thanx Mate :)

Copying all DLLs won't work in any case. You need a special one, which is not available to regular users (developers only). QT contains no spyware btw. It's a very good alternative to Windows Media (which contains a kind of spyware and has as many security issues as a Swiss cheese has holes) and RealMedia (which phones home everytime you use it).

You can download the DLL here. Put it in the same directory as the VLC-exe. Note that you need to keep your QT installation intact to be able to run it.
