How to build vlc package 1.0.5 from the source with enabled/active filter deinterlace?

Video filtering is a bit buggy in VLC 1.0.x and earlier.

To answer the question, deinterlacing is always compiled in.

I want deinterlace function is on by default. Now I turn on this in menues each time after install and start player. Maybe it could be turn on in make file (or in another place) while compilation.

I want compile/make version of VLC Player 1.0.5 with ACTIVE function DEINTERLACE. After run this VLC i want have ACTIVE deinterlace filter without add anything Preferences.
Huh...
I need active this filter in source files before compile/make. Help))
