Player Size Issue

Since the release of 1.1.0 and on, there's been a small annoyance that's kept me from updating. Whenever I play a file by double clicking it launches vlc and plays it in a wrong player size. I enabled allow only one instance. The player size tends to take on whatever was played last. So say I played a 1080p video, close vlc, then play an mp3, it'll launched in a maximized window with cover art instead of the old version's small player and no art. Basically I just want to know if I can disable the "keep previous window size" thing in the new vlc.
