Stream freezes after 88 hours

Postby dvorak2000 » 19 Jul 2010 20:51

I am streaming audio via HTTP on Windows XP Pro. Every so often the stream will freeze and connected users will be disconnected. This seems to happen when the counter in the bottom right of the window gets around 88 hours. When I shut down the program then restart after a freeze, I get an error message saying that it has recovered from a fatal error.

The counter will not reset when I shut down the program and restart. It does reset when I restart the computer. Is there a way to reset the counter every time I start VLC media player? It seems like something to do with the program is always running in the background because the count changes when when VLC media player is not running.

Could someone tell me how to reset the streaming counter that runs in the bottom right corner without restarting my computer?
