Getting VLC to play with VidBlaster

Postby amarques » 23 Jul 2010 13:11

Hi all,

Not sure if this is the correct place to post this. If not, please feel free to move it.

I've been trying for a few days to stream a webcam with VLC (tried RTSP, MMS, UDP) and capture the signal on VidBlaster's IP Camera module.
All my attempts failed. If I stream a video through VLC using MMS, the module is able to aquire the signal. If, instead of VLC I use Wirecast to stream the cam, it also works.
My conclusion is that what I'm trying to do is possible, but requires some tweaking of the streaming settings in VLC.

Now, I understand that my question refers in part to software that is not supported in these forums but knowing the popularity of both VLC and VidBlaster, I'm sure I'm not the first one to encounter this problem.

If anyone can help or has any ideas, it would be greatly appreciated.
