Streaming doesnt work for me with 1.1.0

I cant make streaming work. I want to stream my dekstop to another PC over LAN.

I do the following:

CTRL+C
Choose Desktop for recording
Click Stream
Click Next
Click Add-HTTP
- Path is kept as /
- Port kept as 8080
Click Next
Click Stream
VLC says "streaming"
---
Start new VLC instance:
Choose Media, open networkstream
Enter my ip (http://10.0.0.2:8080)

Nothing Happens.

Please help...

It may be a codec or container format problem. Try using theo with ogg container or h264 with asf. These work for me.

open messages-window and set verbosity to 2, then try that streaming and copy that verbose output on messages window here.

sry, i just realized the question was for http streaming (i was trying rtp and udp). i got http streaming to work with h264 and asf. do you know what container or codec to use for rtp or udp?
