minimal VLC

Postby ZerBit » 29 Mar 2005 02:49

I would like to execute videolan to send streams over a network. Now, I launch it with dummy interface without windows.

I would like to know how could i minimize the amount of memory to execute the VLC (about 30Mbytes). I think that i could only load some modules.

Any advice?

VLC is modularized and only loads those modules when it needs them as far as i know.
Don't use PMs for support questions.

VLC (in windows) loads all the modules that it has in plugins directory. I have deleted all the plugins until it can't be executed.

Finally it has only about 15Mbytes
