TV Tuner Card ( Hauppauge HVR 1250 )

I recently bought a Hauppauge HVR 1250 tuner card for my computer ( Windows Vista 64bit ). When I try to play tv using vlc 1.0.5 it crashes with some unhelpful errors. Has anyone got this tuner card working in vlc yet?

As per my knowledge try simple troubleshooting first check installed driver is proper or not because for 64-bit and 32-bit each have different one. Then after check for control panel settings.Hope this heps you to solve out your problem.
