RTSP in a "Smart" Phone

I am using VLC on my PC to stream video cameras over the internet via RTSP from a DVR with a 3G router.
The advanced features such as screenshot and record are exellent. Thanks to all who have contributed to VLC.

I wish to be able to do the same whilst on the move.

I've done some research into smart phones and there are several popular OS's, (Windows, Linux, Symbian, Apple).

Can anyone recommend a phone (or mobile OS) that is particualry VLC friendly for the above purpose?
