Hi,
I want to record a live stream as an AVI file, but that doesn't seem to be an option. The VLC documents have screenshots of the "Stream Output" dialogue where you can choose AVI as your encapsulation method....but my "Stream Output" dialogue doesn't have AVI as an option.
Is it no longer supported, or am I missing a module?
I'm running XP with VLC 0.8.1.

creating avi files has always produced invalid avi files. This was not so much an issue before, because not ppl were using the functionality.
However more and more people ARE using it, and we decided we do not want to spread the use of broken avi files. the avi file muxer is therefore disabled in the development version.
