will vlc play original blu ray films

bought avatar i have home theatre pc bought for watching blu rays and other formats
its a
64 bit vista system
triple core processor 8650
3gb ram
sony bdu x10s blu ray player
ati radeon HD3200 graphics card
cant watch film with software i curently have
will vlc work?

As per my knowledge VLC doesnt support for Blu ray disks.So it will not work with that.Its better to go for any other player.

The problem is with the avatar disk not with what you are using to play it. http://www.digitaltrends.com/entertainm ... -for-many/ try seeing if a firmware update is available for your player.
