external .srt file with .ts video won't play
Trying to figure out what the dysfunction is, I have a .ts HD video file and an external .srt subtitle file. The video file plays just fine on its own, but when I attempt to play it with the .srt subtitle file, VLC will not even play the video, nothing happens. Just for curiosities sake I played the .srt file with a different video file (mkv) and the subtitles and video played fine. I'm also able to get the video and subtitle files to work together just fine when using a different player, such as movist. But as I like using airfoil, I need VLC and its audio desynching abilities, so would really like to get this movie and its subtitle file to work together. Any thoughts?
