I am sorry for the Windows XP terminology...
That is the status when a user is logged on and does not want anybody to do anything on this PC while he is away, so he hits Ctrl+Alt+Del and Lock the computer; his or administrators' password is needed.

i don't think this is possible. as far as i understand, the video and audio drivers can not be used if Windows XP is locked.

I've been essentially looking for the same thing.

I can stream from my usb webcam without being logged in, so I'm hopeful that somewhere out there there is a hardware A/V capture device that can operate as a service.

Yep, yep,
that is the funny thing about the video OUT, because you have to extend your screen to TV (in XP), I was asking ATI for some hint or utility, but the "theatre mode" was their answer...

What could be usefull is just the video source into video output.

I wonder if there's some better solution on LINUX (Fedora Core 3)? (But I love nightly builds for Windows)

Is anybody so skilled please?

Thank you

Jan
