Video and audio don't match

Postby astralis » 23 Feb 2010 15:24

I'm ripping a DVD into MPEG4 + AAC but on playback the audio and video don't match. Towards the middle, the video seems to speed ahead.

What is happening and how can I correct this?

doom9 would help you greatly. if the video desyncs only in vlc then you may use the audio adjust option under filters and effects. if it desyncs in every program then there is a program at doom9 that you can use to adjust the sync. you can tell it where to start the adjustment and how far off in msecconds the audio is off. i wish i had the program name for you, but i dont fix out of sync files anymore. i just use vlc's filters and effects to do on the fly adjustment to the playing file (its faster)
