.ts files play very fast

Postby Goudie » 19 Jan 2010 11:44

The .ts files from my LG Media Station MS408D play on VideoLan but at perhaps 10-20 times the normal speed. The images are 'perfect'.

I once had a problem like this when the Program Clock Reference (PCR) was missing from the transport stream. It's okay to be without one, if for example the video stream has been set as the PCR. However, if a separate PCR PID is used it must be present. VLC seems to be picky about this.

Since the former case seems to be more common nowadays, it may be that the channel you're recording from uses a separate PCR and your media station forgets to include it.
