snapshots saved as frame number

hi everyone.
i used to have vlc-0.8.5 on my old computer and snapshots were saved as something like vlcsnap-284758, the number being the frame, i guess. now i'm using the 1.0.3 version and i can either save them as vlcsnap-00001 or with the time stamp like vlcsnap-2010-01-05-19h45m16s38, but not as the frame number like in that old version, which can be useful if you take a lot of snapshots of the same video over and over, you know what frame comes first and what comes next.

i'd downgrade to 0.8.5 were it not for the fact that it can't play .flv files.
what's last version featuring frame numbers (and that plays flv too)?
