Slingbox Plugin Resolution

Postby drgreenway » 29 Dec 2009 10:07

Hi all, I'm fairly new to this forum, it's my first post but I have used your wealth of expertise before!

I got a Slingbox Solo for Christmas, and want to use it to record my Sky+ programs into WMV or MP4 or XviD. I have got so far as to install VLC 0.8.6i and get the Slingbox plugin working. However, no matter what settings I have tried so far, I only get a 320x240 stream. I would like as big as possible, my plan is to store the programs on my Twonky server and stream back to my big TV via PS3 (all of that bit works!). I see that there have been problems in the past going from 640x240 to 640x480, but I can't even get that. When using the SlingPlayer, I get VGA output that looks like it's 640x480.

I have tried changing the settings in the Access Modules/Slingbox area to change the resolution, but no go.

Any ideas what I can change?
Thanks in advance, kind regards,
Mike

We have no idea since the SlingBox plugin was never officially part of VLC... Maybe for 1.1
