My speakers rattle at 100+

Postby Morten » 06 Dec 2009 21:01

This strange think happens everytime i turn the soundbar in vlc above 100 % (the limit is 200), my speakers rattle. The sound is totally normal when its 100 % and i can turn up the sound on my stereo, but as soon as the vlc soundbar is 100+ it rattles. I've tried other media players, and they work just fine, but i prefer vlc, so does anybody know whats wrong?
Thanks in advance. :)

How is VLC connected to the speakers.
It sounds like an impedence problem in that those are the most common.
Always better to turn up the volume via the direct control for them other than increasing the signal directly from the source.

Over 100, means software amplification, which means possible saturation. Nothing special here.
