Hello.
My VLC player has been working find until last night when it suddenly started not playing the audio on a DVD properly, created a stuttering effect somewhat reminiscent of a techno remix or something. Windows Media player will play the DVD fine (I don't use it because it has its own set of problems) and VLC will still play another video file fine. I have tested several DVDs, and none of them worked with VLC. This morning I tired uninstalling my old version and getting the new one, and the problem persists.

Reset preferences and cache.
