How do I save an edited video file

Postby LilWhiteRabbit » 04 Nov 2009 16:11

Ok, I am completely new to VLC and I recently figured out the 'Video Effects - Image Adjust'.... a lot of my mpg files are too dark and I'd like to be able to save them after I edit them in VLC player. How do I do this??? I've looked around and I can't find anything.. and the thing I did find, I don't understand.. lol.

Sorry, but if there is a way to save a file after you modify it, can someone explain how to do it?

Thanks so much!

hi
save the playlist to disk via firefox
Play the stream you want.
Open the playlist in VLC. Ctrl-I(View stream & media info) to get the URI. Copy the mms:// file
Open network stream, (Ctrl-N) and past the mms:// into the http/https/ftp/mms. At the bootom, click on save stream. Click ONLY file and also select the dump raw input box.

I would respond with WTF???, but I hope someone understands when I ask why must I stream a video to someplace else if all I want to do is save it to disk.
The response may be correct, but was not targeted at me nor the asker. Could you try again for those of us who are over 40, how do I save a video to disk.

PS: I'm only a bit techy because this program crashes on me a lot, but that's another matter which I'll forgive.

Look for the YouTube video you want to save

Open a new window or tab on your browser and go to http://www.keepvid.com/

go back to the YouTube window or tab and copy the “URL” of the video.

Paste it on the URL box on keepvid.com and click download

You can choose between two options on how you want to save the video:

Option one: Low quality video .FLV it is in flash extension and you will need a video converter if you don’t have a flash player.
