Controls not working

Hi,

None of the controls in VLC player are working. Not even the time trackbar. I can rightclick and then use pause and play, but none of the onscreen buttons work. I've tried resetting the preferences, deleting the preference file and even uninstalling twice, but it still won't work. I currently have VLC 1.02 installed on Windows XP.
