Poor video quality in VLC

Postby snipazer » 30 Oct 2009 19:29

Hello, I am using Windows 7 with VLC version 1.02. I have had this problem with VLC across several different versions of Windows, VLC, and Linux. When I play a video in VLC, the quality is slightly worse than when I play the same video in a different player, such as Windows Media Player.

Playing It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia in VLC:

Playing It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia in WMP:

As you can notice, in the VLC picture, the words are pixelated while the WMP picture is not. Is there anything I can do to fix this? Thanks so much for reading.
