Converting files to DVD-playable

Postby cecile » 22 Oct 2009 10:47

Hi all,

I have a few files (mov, avi, mpg and one vob) that I want to put onto a DVD so that it can be played on our DVD player (Samsung DVD-P147) at home. This is completely new territory for me, so I have a couple of questions:
  • Can VLC do the conversion?
  • If so, what file format should I aim for?
  • What are the steps I need to undertake?
Thanks in advance :)

Cecile.

Oh, and if VLC can't, is there software that you'd recommend? It's only going to be used once, so ideally freeware or shareware would be great... and obviously the easier to use the better :)
