Overiding Active X?

Postby Thudius » 12 Oct 2009 12:47

Hi,

Was wondering if some gentle soul might help. Not sure if this is the place, but here goes:

When I launch a Sopcast feed, Active X automatically launches and makes life miserable. How do I disable Active X? Or, more to the point, do I even need Active X (I use mozilla exclusively)? I've got VLC selected as my default viewer (XP) or at least I think I do.

On a somewhat related topic.....anyone know where I can get some help with fixing videos files that are too large? Not in terms odf size, but rather they appear to be set to an extremely high resolution or format. When i open them up, they tend to extended off-screen and any attempt to move or resize them freezes my machine. Any pointers would be appreciated.

TIA

Thudius

BTW I'm no tech guru, so please, simple-ish terms such that a politician might be able to understand would be appreciated.
