Closing http stream when window is closed

Postby bjtitus » 06 Oct 2009 00:49

I am trying to stream TV from a firewire cable box.

I'm using HTTP streaming because I need multiple people to be able to connect but cannot use multicast due to situations on the network. It works excellently but once one client closes their stream, the entire stream is closed. There are no crash logs, warnings or anything thrown and I can't see any message that seems to telling the server to close up the stream.

I am streaming from Mac OS 10.6 but don't think it is platform specific (although I haven't tried with a Windows computer, so forgive me if I'm wrong).

Can someone tell me if this is expected behavior with the HTTP streams, if there may be some sort of option to prevent this from happening, or if this may simply be a bug.

Thanks for any help.

It's not supposed to be like that. I cannot reproduce your problem.
