compiling VLC with Microsoft Visual C++ ?????

Postby thongdo » 26 Jan 2005 23:21

Dear everyone,

I have read the guide of compiling VLC under Win32 environment but faced some difficulties. After compiling it sucessfully, I cant run the exe file. No error message appears while there is nothing on the screen. Do you know why and if possible, pls let me know how to solve it.

I really appreciate your help.

Bests,

Thong Do.

VLC compiling on MSVC is not supported, as clearly stated in the INSTALL.win32 file.
You can search the forum for some answers some other people have provided that have been clumsing around with this.

Usually though, after a month or so they switch to cygwin anyways.
Don't use PMs for support questions.
