Why won't VLC play DVDs from a region other than what my dri

Postby esthervandoor » 16 Aug 2009 07:15

HELP! VLC used to work for me no problems. A few months ago it stopped playing DVDs unless they were the same region that my Mac was set on. So if my Mac DVD player was set to region 1 VLC would only play region 1 etc. I found this on wiki.videolan Preferences->All->Input/Codecs->Access Modules->DVD without menus->Method used by libdvdcss for decryption but got stuck at "DVD without menus"...this wasn't an option. I also try and play DVDs as Video-TS buyt this doesn't work either. I use a Mac OS X version 10.5.7. PLEASE HELP!!!!

There has been no change in VLC. Most probably this restriction comes from your hardware or your operating system.
